Senior Show Exhibition at CFAM

In collaboration with the Cornell Fine Arts Museum (CFAM), the Department of Art & Art History presents the Senior Show, an exhibition debuting the work of senior Studio Art majors. This annual event is the culmination of students' artistic efforts and accomplishments over the past four years. Juried by Rollins College studio art professors and the curator of the Cornell Fine Arts Museum, the jurors’ selections exemplify the students’ talents, technical prowess, and ingenuity. This capstone experience significantly prepares students for pursuing a variety of art-related careers. The Senior Show exhibition is preceded by a pop-up exhibition in the Fall, typically held in-house by the Department, and features the advancement of our students' works and artistic journeys prior to their final showcase in the following Spring's CFAM exhibition.

You can view past exhibition pieces in our Senior Show Collection.

Faculty Show at CFAM

When not teaching, our Studio Art faculty members spend each year creating new works to be displayed in CFAM's annual Faculty Show exhibition, showed alongside our Senior Show. These pieces highlight our faculty's diversified interests and talents, showcasing the variety of creativity, skill, and experiences held by our department.

End-of-Year Party

We know how hard our students work all year round, and we like to treat them to an afternoon of fun in the midst of intense finals. Our annual party celebrates our students' remarkable dedication and determination with an hour or two of snacks, awards, and of course, the Jackson Pollack cake, a tradition for our seniors to decorate a cake in the same manner as Pollack himself - if Pollack used icing instead of paint!
