Rollins College is well into its second century of innovative education, and we are pleased that Winter Park Institute has become yet another chapter of intellectual engagement in that long history. We began the 2008-2009 academic year by launching the Institute with its mission of bringing top-echelon scholars to our community. The scope and variety of thought leaders featured over our first five years is impressive, and we promise to continue such engaging programming for the future.
The College’s commitment through the Winter Park Institute is threefold: 1) to foster intellectual dialogue between our resident scholars and Rollins faculty, students, and staff, 2) to provide opportunities for scholars to share with the community beyond Rollins, and 3) to promote an atmosphere for scholars to exchange ideas with each other. Such high-level conversations invigorate the intellectual exploration that is a vital part of the Rollins community.
As we engage in the second half of our first decade, we renew the pledge to bring significant scholars and innovative ideas into our shared community. Rollins College is honored to commit to such a worthwhile purpose to build upon its mission, to further the liberal arts ethos and to educate students for global citizenship and responsible leadership. Winter Park Institute is proud to continue the College's heritage of enlightened conversations in the academy.
