Meet Our Team

WalterCori Walter, Program Director

My name is Cori Walter and I have been a program counselor with Educational Talent Search since 2007. I earned my bachelor’s degree in social science and secondary education from Flagler College and my master’s degree in liberal studies from Rollins College.

Right after college I taught social sciences at Bishop Moore High School for four years, and then joined the United States Peace Corps. I completed my 27 months of volunteer service for Peace Corps in the country of Azerbaijan, where I taught English education at the Sheki Pedagogical College. When I returned to the United States I began working with the Educational Talent Search Program where I have enjoyed working with young people who have the dream of going to college. In my free time I love to read, hike, go camping and spend time with my friends and family. I basically love to do anything outdoors! My two favorite “people” are my dogs Tanq and Mattie.

I would love to hear from you if you have any questions about our program and what we do.

Within the Orange County community I continue to volunteer and serve as a team captain for the United Negro College Fund 5-K Run for Education since 2010,Team Captain for Eatonville,FL Relay for Life, Education Committee Chair for the Greater Orlando Section of the National Council of Negro Women Inc, College Fair committee member for the National Association of College Admissions Counseling and proud member of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa Inc. for educators.
