Cancellation and No-Show Policy

Appointments must be cancelled 24 hours ahead of time. After this period, appointments cannot be cancelled online, and you must call the front desk (x2308) and speak to a receptionist. Due to same day cancellations as well as no-shows being problematic for the Tutor and/or Writing Consultant, the following system is in place:

1 no-shows and/or same-day cancellations: warning email from TJ's
2 no-shows and/or same-day cancellations: banned from Accudemia until you meet with a center coordinator
3 no-shows and/or same-day cancellations: banned from Accudemia for one month
4 no-shows and/or same-day cancellations: banned from Accudemia for the balance of the semester

Limits on Appointments

For both Tutors and Writing Consultants, The Resource Center requests that each client limit themselves to one scheduled appointment a week with a Tutor and one scheduled appointment a week with a Writing Consultant. Both Tutors and Writing Consultants have a limited number of hours each week, so in order for the most people to be able to benefit, the center requests that you limit the number of appointments in a given week.
