Built in 1908 and funded by the Andrew Carnegie Foundation, Carnegie Hall was Rollins’ first library.
President William Fremont Blackman, the fourth president of the College, wrote personally to Andrew Carnegie requesting the funds for construction of a library and to purchase the volumes to fill its shelves.
The Carnegie Library was an important step in enriching the academic quality of the institution. Today, this white brick building houses offices for the English department, as well as human relations and international programs.
