Since
it opened in 1932, The Annie has nurtured young talent. When Mrs.
Louise Curtis Bok gave the theatre in honor of her dear friend,
the great stage actress Annie Russell, she envisioned a beautiful
space for college students to explore the world of theatre.
The Annie
Russell Theatre is the oldest continuously presenting theatre in
Florida. We are at once proud of The Annie's long and rich history
and excited by the challenges that lie ahead.
With pleasure
and pride we share our students' talent with you, hoping that you
gain as much from our productions as we learn from offering them
to you. It is precisely this interplay between artists and audiences
that provides theatre's unique and powerful magic.
The loyal
support of our donors make possible the high-quality productions
that have become The Annie's hallmark. Since box office receipts
provide only about half of the revenue necessary to run this beautiful,
historic theatre, the generosity of our donors is essential to The
Annie's continued success.
We invite
you to join the Annie Russell Theatre family. Your contributions
make you an active and collaborative partner in our work. The greatest
benefit is the success our students experience as a result of your
generosity.
Sincerely,

Thomas Ouellette
