The Peruvian Amazon is a true tropical wilderness.  More species of primates have been recorded there than anywhere else in the New World.  Thousands of tropical birds, giant river otters, and an abundance of other unique wildlife species are found here.

This environment also provides a resource base that is cruisial for improving the standard of living for people in the region.  Working with local quides, students participate in a wide range of activities designed to promote a firsthand understanding of sustainable development.
