Purpose
Living Learning Communities bring the college learning experience into the everyday lives of its residents.  Faculty, staff, and students who are part of the LLC are making a commitment to learning and community building.  The program fosters collaboration between academic affairs and student affairs by integrating in-and-out-of-the-classroom experiences.  Aligning the students’ residential life experience with the academic mission of the college enhances the culture within the halls by providing experiential learning, educational programs, and community service opportunities. 

Goals

• Enhance academic achievement, retention, and quality of learning
• Foster greater interactions between faculty, staff, and students inside of the residence halls
• Link in-hall programming to academic experiences
• Provide opportunities for first year students to become integrated into the Rollins community and the local community.
• Provide opportunities for interdisciplinary teaching and collaboration with faculty from different fields
