Planning Your Philanthropy
Many of us care about our world enough to volunteer and to write checks to respond to needs. In challenging times, we want to make the best financial decisions, and our community investments are deserving of time and thought. Increased satisfaction and a sense of fulfillment are often the result of good planning. Join us to explore the steps for creating a philanthropy plan and to hear about ways to formalize personal philanthropy.

Margaret Sanders' philanthropic background includes service as a community volunteer, advocate, trainer and consultant. She has promoted effective grantmaking and worked in the areas of community needs assessments, program design and development, and effective governance. Formerly a senior program manager at the Rollins College Philanthropy Center, Ms. Sanders has founded and/or served as board member and volunteer for a range of nonprofits, including service, faith-based and grantmaking organizations. She has volunteer service on local government boards, as well. Ms. Sanders is a graduate of Lawrence University, Appleton, Wisconsin.
