Greg W. Marshall (Ph.D., Oklahoma State University; BSBA and MBA, University of Tulsa) is the Charles Harwood Professor of Marketing and Strategy in the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College, Winter Park, FL, and also serves as Vice President for Strategic Marketing at Rollins College. He previously served on the faculties of Oklahoma State University, the University of South Florida, and Texas Christian University. His managerial industry experience includes positions with companies such as Warner Lambert, Mennen, and Target Corporation. Greg also has considerable experience as a consultant for a variety of organizations. He has been heavily involved in teaching in MBA and Executive MBA programs, as well as at the Ph.D. level. His primary teaching focus is on strategy-related courses such as Strategic Marketing, Introduction to Strategy, and others. In 2002 he received the Outstanding Marketing Teachers’ Award from the Academy of Marketing Science based on his work over the years in MBA education. While at OSU, he received the Chandler-Frates Teaching Award, in which the evening MBA students recognize the top professor in their program. And in 2005 he received the Cornell Distinguished Faculty Award in the Crummer School at Rollins College.

Presenter: Michael Batts, CPA Managing Shareholder, Batts, Morrison, Wales & Lee, P.A.
Mike Batts is the founder and managing shareholder of Batts, Morrison, Wales & Lee, P.A., an Orlando-based accounting firm dedicated exclusively to serving nonprofit organizations and their affiliates. He has more than 20 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) serving hundreds of nonprofit organizations. Mike is a summa cum laude graduate of Stetson University. He serves as an advisory board member for two colleges and currently chairs two other boards. He served on the Legal Framework Work Group of the Panel on the Nonprofit Sector, a legislative advisory panel convened at the request of the Chairman of the U.S. Senate Finance Committee. Mike has led numerous discussions in seminars and conferences nationally, including American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and his firm’s own Annual Nonprofit Conference. He is active legislatively, both on the state and federal levels, having successfully drafted and lobbied for a number of changes to laws affecting nonprofit organizations.

The Rollins Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership Center is partnering with the Council of Volunteer Managers to offer an informative lunch and learn which will be focused on ways for building relationships with volunteers that turn them into donors. Bringing high quality education and hands-on experience of the Philanthropy Center and CVM creates a valuable and enjoyable experience for lunch attendees. Cynthia Wood is the former Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Rollins College. During her 18 years at Rollins, Cynthia worked in positions ranging from Community Relations and Alumni Relations to Advancement Services. Her experience in fundraising, constituent relations, personnel management, strategic planning and board development produced incredible results for the College. Together with her team, Cynthia raised $75 million for the strategic priorities of the College, in addition to securing two of the largest gifts in the school’s history. Since her retirement last year, Cynthia has remained active in the community, serving on the Advisory Board of The Community Foundation of Central Florida’s Center for Women’s Philanthropy, and at Rollins by providing business etiquette training to students.
