Certificate in Leadership Practice

“The quality of a leader is reflected in the standards they set for themselves.” Ray Croc

Do people consider you a leader?
Do you feel you have an innate sense of what it takes to lead?
Are you in a leadership position in your organization, or do you want to be?
Are you looking to expand your leadership skill set in this challenging economic climate?
Now is the time to raise your standards, and the standards of those around you…

The Certificate in Leadership Practice is designed for nonprofit professionals, including emerging leaders, who are ready to take their leadership skill set to the next level. Offered only once each fall, this series includes four, full-day sessions that are facilitated by certified leadership training professionals. With capped enrollment, this experience is personalized to meet your specific needs. Program participants will engage in interactive sessions that will help them understand their own leadership style and challenge them to leverage personal strengths. Attendees will complete self-assessments and feedback instruments that include:

- Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® Assessment (MBTI®)
- DiSC Profile
- Leadership Profile 360 Instrument
- Thomas-Kilmann Conflict MODE Instrument
- Leadership Development and Action Plan

A leader should understand his or her own needs and characteristics and understand these dynamics as they relate to personal and professional contexts. The Certificate in Leadership Practice will help participants develop a roadmap of improvements to maximize potential and help them overcome hindrances to success.

The fee is $975 for members and nonmembers, inclusive of all training materials, assessments, books, and personal development coaching. Scholarships are available to staff of 501c3 organizations that are members of the Philanthropy Center.

Active participation is expected. The Certificate in Leadership Practice involves the completion of outside reading and assignments. A Certificate will only be awarded to those who complete the assignments and attend all four sessions in their entirety.
