Certificate in Philanthropic Fundraising

Whether you are new to the fundraising profession, thinking of changing careers, or wish to enhance your fundraising skills, the Certificate in Philanthropic Fundraising can help you advance in the field and achieve your career goals.

The Rollins College Certificate in Philanthropic Fundraising prepares participants for leadership roles in nonprofit fundraising/development departments. Each multiple-day workshop includes professionally written materials.

Participation in the workshop series also helps prepare and qualify attendees for the CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) certification. For more information about the CFRE, visit www.cfre.org. However, the certification is not equivalent to the designation CFRE, a credential offered by CFRE International.

Application Procedures

After July 1, 2009, all applicants wishing to apply for the certificate program must complete the following requirements for admission:

Required Workshops

All participants wishing to use Indiana University Fund Raising School workshops to fulfill requirements for the Certificate in Philanthropic Fundraising or the Certificate in Nonprofit Management must notify the Philanthropy Center prior to October 1, 2009. After that date, the Philanthropy Center will no longer accept IU Fund Raising School programs toward the completion of Philanthropy Center certificates.

Participants must complete each of the workshops listed below.

 Managing the Capital Campaign

 Planned Giving

 15 Hours

 Fundamentals of Successful Fundraising

 28 Hours
