mlinnaneMargaret Linnane, Executive Director


Margaret Linanne is the executive director of the Philanthropy Center. Prior to coming to the Center, Ms. Linnane was the executive director of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida for 18 years. Her extensive experience in resource development, program and fiscal management, and community outreach were paramount in selecting her to lead the Philanthropy Center in 2004.

Ms. Linnane fills a number of volunteer roles in Central Florida. She serves on the board of directors of Bishop Moore High School as well as the Nonprofit Management Advisory Board of the University of Central Florida's College of Health and Public Affairs, the Center for Entrepreneurship at the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College, and the Center for Public and Nonprofit Management at the University of Central Florida. Ms. Linnane is past president of the Florida Association of Food Banks, former chair of the Heart of Florida United Way's Council of Agency Executives, and served on the board of directors of Gulf States Credit Union. A past recipient of the prestigious Martin L. Bell Memorial Scholarship, a full-tuition scholarship awarded annually to a nonprofit executive in the Corporate M.B.A. Program at the Roy E. Crummer Graduate School of Business, Linnane holds an M.B.A., and a B.A. from Rollins College.

lbaileyLee Bailey, Program Manager

Lee Bailey coordinates and teaches fundraising workshops at the Philanthropy Center. Her thirty-year career is divided between the nonprofit and educational sectors. She has served as an executive director for several social service and art organizations and has been responsible for resource development in various educational settings. Ms. Bailey held the position of Director of Resource Development at Brevard Community College and was president of the Florida Council of Resource Development until her recent retirement from that position in April. Ms. Bailey holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of New Mexico, educational credentials from the University of Alabama, and a Master of Liberal Studies from Rollins College.

afisherAngela Fisher, Administrative Assistant

Angela is the administrative assistant at the Philanthropy Center. She also is the supervisor of the Center's library. She is a graduate of Florida State University where she worked for a year. She has worked with a few nonprofit organizations as a preschool teacher and loves the nonprofit community.

kforgetKaia W. Forgét, Program Manager

Kaia Forgét is the program manager responsible for the Donors Forum of Central Florida, executive transition programming and the Certificate in Leadership Practice. Her nonprofit experience includes program planning and development, volunteer management, and facilitation and training. She has worked with AmeriCorps service programs nationwide as well as local regional and education-based nonprofits. She is a member of the board of directors for the League of Women Voters of Orange County and serves as Chair of the League's Voter Services Committee. Kaia received a B.A. in Communication Studies from Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y., and an M.A. in Mass Communication from the University of Central Florida.

efurlongEmily Furlong, Senior Program Manager

Emily Furlong is the senior program manager responsible for professional continuing education for nonprofit organizations. Her nonprofit experience includes planning and development, nonprofit and volunteer management, training, and board governance in the fields of domestic violence, senior services, housing and emergency management. She has been a founding member of two nonprofit organizations and served as executive director of one. Ms. Furlong has been active in the nonprofit community since completing her undergraduate education at the University of Mississippi.

bhentiesBrian Henties, Program Manager

Brian Henties has 15 years of nonprofit management and development experience, including starting a nonprofit corporation, leading two nonprofit organizations as an executive director and serving on several nonprofit boards of directors. Currently, he is the Rollins College Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership Center’s program manager responsible for the areas of advocacy, business and management programs and the Certificate in Nonprofit Management. At the college, he teaches two seminars Steps for Starting a 501c3 Nonprofit and Getting Your Legislators’ Attention. He volunteers with the League of Women Voters Orange County and the Federation of Congregations United to Serve (FOCUS). Brian received a BA in Political Science from the University of Dayton.

Jenny is the marketing and program coordinator for the Center. Most of her experience with the nonprofit community has been in the education sector. Prior to joining the Philanthropy Center, she coordinated workshops and other events for the Center for School Improvement & Policy Studies at Boise State University. Jenny received a BBA in Marketing from Boise State University.

bvanarsdaleBarbara Van Arsdale, Accounting & Program Assistant 

Barbara is the Center’s accounting and program assistant and provides support for the Donors Forum of Central Florida. After resigning from a banking career to raise a family, Ms. Van Arsdale served the community as a volunteer for several organizations, including the Maitland Art Center, a faith-based organization, and for many years in the Seminole County Public and private schools. Ms. Van Arsdale earned a BA in Accounting from Rollins College.
