Rollins Rings in a New School Year – Rollins College welcomes 520 incoming first-year students who will graduate in 2011. Founded in 1885, this year marks the 122nd incoming undergraduate class to the College. Rollins’ College of Arts & Sciences will begin the academic year Monday, August 27, with a projected 1,760 students.
More Rollins Students than ever are Living and Learning Together – First-year students at Rollins have the unique opportunity to live and learn together through Rollins College Conference (RCC) Living Learning Communities. Professors are drawn from the full range of academic disciplines encompassing the arts, the sciences, the humanities and the social sciences. Students who enroll in one of three Living Learning Communities also live together in the residence halls, which increases connection among students.
In addition, for the first time ever, a faculty member and his family are living in a residential hall with students. Find out more about this innovative effort.
Rollins Parent Donates More than 100 Polaroid TV’s – Rollins trustee and parent Thomas J. Petters donated more than 100 Polaroid televisions for use on campus. “R-TV Network” will be used for communications, entertainment and small group learning. Find out how this will allow students, faculty and staff to be even more connected on campus.
