|R-Journalist Phil Varga gives two thumbs-up with his group, which is studying abroad in Australia. He is the first of four International R-Journalists; follow his adventures and check back in the fall for our other R-journalists in France, Japan and Jordan.|
Brand new this year, four International R-Journalists—studying in Australia, France, Jordan and Japan—were selected by the Office of International Programs to share their experiences. During summer and fall 2009, more than 200 Rollins students—the largest group ever in the College’s history—are traveling to 15 countries from Australia to Ecuador to Spain to the United Kingdom and some students will even spend a semester at sea. Rollins ranks among the top 25 colleges and universities for its study abroad program. Current students interested in studying abroad will also have a chance in the fall to attend Skype sessions with the International R-Journalists.
The Department of Admission and the Office of Public Relations & Communications have worked in partnership each year to oversee the student blogging program. The R-Journals program has grown to be a significant and meaningful tool, giving prospective students a first-hand look into the life of a Rollins student.
As the International R-Journalists span the globe, they will help current and prospective students alike gain insights into the opportunities available while studying abroad.
