On January 21, the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce presented President Lewis Duncan with the Community Organization of the Year award at a special Membership Awards Celebration Dinner held at Full Sail Live. This annual affair recognizes businesses, organizations and volunteers who contribute their time, talent and effort to the Chamber and Winter Park community.

“I think the hardest part of recognizing our Community Organization of the Year is narrowing the accolades down to something that doesn’t take 45 minutes,” said Chamber President Patrick Chapin, who presented President Duncan with the award. During his speech, Chapin highlighted the College’s many awards and achievements, as well as the College’s support for the Chamber Cares program, Good Morning Winter Park and Leadership Winter Park. This award, now in its seventh year, is given to a select non-profit in Winter Park that provides outstanding service to its constituents and the community at large.

That same evening, Rollins College alumna Saundra Hester was presented with an Ambassador of the Year award for her active participation in Chamber events and passionate promotion of Chamber membership.
