Following in the great legacy of his father, Jacques Cousteau, Jean-Michel has been deemed "a voice for the ocean" who communicates to a new generation. His advocacy on the part of the world's oceans has earned him countless prominent awards and recognitions, such as the Environmental Hero Award, the SeaKeepers Award, and the 2008 IPPY Gold Medal Award for best book in ecology. Cousteau’s presentation "The Great Ocean Adventure," on October 23 from 7-8:30 p.m. in Warden Arena, promises to be a memorable Rollins event.
