Mark Pinsky, former Orlando Sentinel religion editor, who also previously served as an adjunct professor at Rollins, spoke in April on the influence of Christianity in American Government. The diversity dialogue titled "Is America a Christian Nation?" was presented by the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
The event featured displays of many of the world's religions, including Scientology, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Christianity.
After Pinsky’s lecture, College Democrat and event organizer John Watson (Class of 2009) led a prayer toward global unity.
“I hope we can live in a society where Christians, Buddhists, Atheists, Jews and others can come together to find common ground in our society that will then strengthen his or her personal faith in their own religion,” he said.
