We salute R-Kids, who helped other kids from throughout Central Florida.
Dance Marathon is the largest and most successful student-run philanthropy at Rollins College. In 2007, the 12-hour marathon got 132 Rollins students to their feet to help raise funds for children treated at the Greater Orlando Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals. Every penny raised goes directly to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando and the Shand’s Children’s Hospital at the University of Florida. In its inaugural year, Rollins College Dance Marathon raised $35,151 exceeding their goal of $20,000. More than 200 Rollins students will participate in the second annual Rollins Dance Marathon on November 15 from 2 p.m. until 2 a.m., staying on their feet for 12 hours to raise funds for life-saving medical equipment for children served by CMN.
