Rich Ervin has taught bassoon at Rollins College since January of 2009. A freelance musician and private teacher in Central Florida, Rich is a musician for Walt Disney World, and has performed with the Bach Festival Orchestra and the Brevard Symphony Orchestra. Rich earned his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a Master's Degree in Bassoon Performance from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois, where he studied with Dr. Robert Koper. He has also completed studies at Illinois State University studying with Mr. Michael Dicker.
