Bach Festival Choir

Join students and community members in performing primarily oratorio works. Prestigious, historical music organization. Prerequisite: audition.

Chamber Singers

Emphasizes performance of high-quality literature for chamber choral ensemble.

Concert Choir

Focuses on music for the most select choral ensemble. Prerequisite: audition.

Men’s Glee

Spans wide variety of styles, especially composers who specialize in this voicing. Prerequisite: audition.

Opera Workshop

Delves into study and performance of opera roles and scenes. Corequisite: choral ensemble. Prerequisite: audition.

Opera

Full productions of operatic repertoire performed by Rollins College students. Prerequisite: audition.

Rollins Singers

Concentrates on contemporary, popular, and musical theater pieces for several small music ensembles. Prerequisite: audition.

Women’s Glee

Spans wide variety of styles, especially composers who specialize in music in this voicing. Prerequisite: audition.

Instrumental

Bach Festival Orchestra

Join the Bach Festival Chorus and Orchestra in performing oratorio and other concert works. Prestigious, historical music organization. Prerequisite: invitation by the director.

Brass Ensemble

Joins students and community members in performing brass music from Renaissance through 20th century. Prerequisite: audition.

Flute Choir

Combines students and community members in performing flute ensemble music. Prerequisite: audition.

Guitar Ensemble

Performs repertoire composed or arranged for guitar ensemble. Prerequisite: audition.

Horn Ensemble

Teams students with community members in performing horn music from Renaissance through 20th century. Prerequisite: audition.

Jazz Ensemble

Performs repertoire composed, arranged, or improvised for jazz ensemble.  Prerequisite: audition.

Mallet Ensemble

Performs music for marimba, glockenspiel, xylophone, vibraphone, and chimes. Prerequisite: audition.

Orchestra

Performs orchestral literature including concertos and symphonies. Prerequisite: audition.

Percussion Ensemble

Emphasizes music for percussion instruments. Prerequisite: audition.

Instrumental Chamber Ensemble

Includes small vocal and instrumental ensembles. Varies from term to term. Prerequisite: audition.

String Ensemble

Tailors orchestral literature from all periods to ensemble’s instrumentation. Prerequisite: audition.

Wind Ensemble

The Rollins College Wind Ensemble, conducted by Aaron Lefkowitz, is composed of approximately fifty wind and percussion student and community performers.  Membership in the Wind Ensemble is open by audition to all students, regardless of major. The group rehearses from 6:30pm to 8pm on Tuesday each semester and performs some of the finest band literature in concerts at Tiedtke Hall or Knowles Chapel.

Woodwind Ensemble

Performs repertoire composed or arranged for woodwind ensemble. Prerequisite: audition.

World Music Ensemble

Performs non-Western repertoire appropriate to the ensemble’s instrumentation. Prerequisite: audition.
