Winter Park Institute
In 2008, Rollins College launched the Winter Park Institute (WPI) to establish an atmosphere of enlightened conversation and capture the synergy created when scholars share information, debate issues and shed light on a variety of significant, timely topics. The Institute features discussions between the Rollins community and thought leaders from diverse fields who are invited for limited residencies.

The Department of Music has been honored to host a number of Winter Park Institute lectures, master classes, and performances by such artists and lecturers as mezzo-soprano, Marilyn Horne; pianist, Leon Fleischer; jazz banjo player, Béla Fleck; and librettist, biographer, and critic, Terry Teachout.
