Private Instruction for All Ages

OUR HISTORY

Dr. John Sinclair began the Community School of Music in 1993 to offer the greater Orlando area non-credit private music instruction for all ages and levels as part of the Rollins College Department of Music.  Our department dates back to 1885 when The Conservatory of Music was established at the founding of the college. In 1966 the Conservatory changed to a Liberal Arts department of the college with the vision of providing the best possible music education in performance, history, literature and theory within the scope and objectives of a quality liberal arts education. We are a charter member of the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM).

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to enrich lives through Music, providing highest quality instruction and performance opportunities for students of all ages at all levels of musical development.  Our faculty has excellent credentials and a broad base of experience.  The School continues to develop its curriculum to provide educationally sound programs and exemplary opportunities for its students.  We serve as an integrative music resource in the Greater Orlando community through our programs and outreach activities.
