Adjunct Professor of Voice
Ms. Carter received her M.M.E. cum laude from the University of Central Florida, Orlando FL, and her B.M. cum laude, voice principal, from Belmont University, Nashville TN.
Christina has served as Adjunct Music Professor at Rollins College since 2004, and is currently a private voice instructor, director of Women’s Glee Ensemble, and teaches Musical Awareness courses. She has also assisted with Concert Choir and Chamber Singers ensembles. Outside of Rollins College, Christina is the choral director for the Children/ Youth Choirs at First Congregational Church. She is also the lead teacher and registrar for the Community School of Music at FCC, where she oversees and teaches as a member of the certified Kindermusik educator staff, and is the registrar for the Winter Park Chamber Music Academy. She has been teaching private voice since 1993 and teaches both at home and for the Community School of Music. Christina has been a member of the Bach Festival Chorus of Winter Park since 2001, and has served as soprano section leader for this group since 2005. She has also performed as a member of the Bach Festival Chamber Singers, and has been involved in three recording projects in Orlando, FL. She is a choral adjudicator, vocalist, and a member of NATS. Before moving to Orlando, Christina served as a high school Choral Director in Hendersonville, TN, and was a freelance choreographer for music productions in the greater Nashville area. She has been conducting choirs and small orchestras since 1995, and has enjoyed performing in, conducting, and music directing various musical theater productions in Orlando, Winter Park, and in TN.
