Adjunct Professor of Voice
Soprano Marisa Arzillo has performed in Europe as well as with Opera Company of Philadelphia, Opera Roanoke, St. Petersburg Opera Company, Florida Orchestra, Florimezzo Orchestra, and at Walt Disney World. Her favorite roles are Susannah, Cunegonde (Candide), Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Olympia/Antonio (Les contes d’Hoffman), Monica (The Medium), and Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro). Ms. Arzillo is also well-known as featured artist in genres as diverse as oratorio to contemporary music featured on the Discovery and National Geographic Channels. Her other experiences include directing both main-stage and opera scenes, adjudicating at festivals, and conducting acting and theatrical stage make-up workshops.
Dr. Arzillo degrees include the Bachelors of Fine Arts in Musical Theater and Voice Performance Certificate (Shenandoah University); Masters of Music, Voice Performance (University of South Florida); and Doctor of Musical Arts Degree, Voice, (Rutgers University).
Dr. Arzillo has earned several significant awards and performances, among them a performance under Maestro Gian Carl Menotti at Il Festival dei due Monde (summer 2001). In addition to teaching at Rollins College, she is also at the University of Tampa.
