Coming Soon! New Graduate Business DegreesRollins College is pleased to announce the creation of two new specialized master’s degrees and an executive doctorate degree. The following programs were approved by the Trustees of Rollins College last week and are being submitted to the appropriate regulatory authority for approval:
Master of Science in Entrepreneurship (MS ENT)
The MS ENT will empower students to identify market opportunities and acquire resources to launch, manage and grow their own companies. MS ENT students will take classes with MBA students, creating a synergy between entrepreneurs and MBA students that will enliven an already dynamic classroom experience. The final project of the 30-hour MS ENT program will be to present a business plan before a panel of successful entrepreneurs.
Master of Science in Management (MSM)
The MSM is a focused graduate degree designed to help recent college graduates with limited work experience launch their careers more quickly than they could with an undergraduate degree in business alone. Students in the MSM program may choose a general management or international management track in order to gain the knowledge, skills and abilities required of managers in the 21st Century. By acquiring a strong foundation of management, teamwork, and leadership skills, MSM graduates will be prepared for success in a complex, dynamic, global business environment. Students must have a bachelor’s degree in business administration and will be able to complete the 30-hour MSM degree in 9 months full-time or 17 months part-time.
Executive Doctorate in Business Administration (EDBA)
The EDBA is a professional doctoral program designed for executives who have a master’s degree in business and want to take their knowledge and learning to the next level. Each student will have a faculty mentor for the duration of the 3-year program, and dissertations will be focused on issues and challenges of a student’s existing company or industry. Candidates will be successful executives/entrepreneurs with 10-15 years of substantive business leadership experience. The program of coursework is designed to accommodate busy schedules, and classes will meet in person two consecutive days per month (Friday/Saturday). In between on-site classes, student learning will be augmented by an online education platform. Entering cohort groups will be limited to 10 students per year.
The MSM will begin in March 2014, the MS ENT will begin in September 2013, and the EDBA will begin in September 2013.
