Rollins Offers First MBA Accepted Into CFA University Recognition ProgramRollins announces that its Master of Business Administration Finance Concentration is the first MBA program to be recognized by the Chartered Financial Institute (CFA) University Recognition Program. This new recognition is granted only to institutions whose degree program incorporates at least 70% of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK), which prepares students to sit for the CFA exams. The CFA program curriculum requirements are based on a analysis of feedback from CFA members and employers that identify the principles and skills needed to master, compete and succeed in a fast-moving global economy.
“Rollins MBA places a real emphasis on ethics along with a rigorous curriculum in the Finance concentration of their MBA, which led us to recognize them at the launch of our new initiative,” said Stephen M. Horan, Ph.D., CFA, CIPM, Head, University Relations and Private Wealth, CFA Institute. “The goal is to let potential students know which programs are equipped to best prepare them for the CFA exam while earning their degree.”
The CFA Institute’s new University Recognition Program was designed to fulfill their mission to lead ethics-based investment education globally. The program recognizes the efforts of academic institutions that embed a significant portion of the CFA Program CBOK, including the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct, in their curricula. Recognition by CFA Institute demonstrates that an institution’s degree programs provide students with a solid grounding in the CBOK and prepares them to sit for the CFA exams.
“Helping achieve success has always been a top priority for the Rollins MBA faculty, we are very pleased to see our curriculum recognized by the CFAs new program” said Craig McAllaster, dean of the Rollins MBA. “The CFA exams are known for being tough to pass but a solid understanding of key principles will help our students to prepare for the exams while earning their MBA.”
