Jule Gassenheimer is a Professor of Marketing at Rollins MBA, where she teaches marketing research, marketing management and critical thinking. Her areas of research include team selling, long-term buyer-seller relationships and channel strategy.
Before she came to Rollins, Dr. Gassenheimer was the Gatton Professor of Marketing at the University of Kentucky, where she served as the director of graduate studies for marketing and was a member of the faculty senate. She has worked extensively with organizations to bring real-world problems and opportunities to the classroom. Her past positions include roles at Orlando Science Center, Lexmark, the New Opportunity School for Women, the Kentucky Small Business Association, the International Business Center and the GAMA Foundation.
Dr. Gassenheimer is an active member of the American Marketing Association where she served on the Academic Council. Dr. Gassenheimer has also serve as the Vice Chair of Programming and the President of the American Marketing Association’s Sales Special Interest Group. She is also a member of the Academy of Marketing Science. Her recent honors include the Academy of Marketing Science 2010 Outstanding Marketing Teacher Award and the 2010/2011 Cornell Distinguished Faculty Award for outstanding teaching, research and/or service at the Crummer Graduate School of Business.
Dr. Gassenheimer has published over 45 referred journal articles in a number of academic journals including Journal of Marketing, Journal of Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management and Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management. She is also on the Editorial Review Board of Journal of Managerial Issues, Journal of Marketing Management and Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice. She has six years of industrial sales experience, and has been involved in several industry research studies and seminars.
