Susan A. Bach, Ph.D., is the Executive Director of the Center for Leadership Development at the Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business. Under her direction, the Center is nationally ranked by Leadership Excellence as one of the top 20 business school leadership development centers in the nation (#1 in Florida). She spearheaded the initiative that earned the school the 2011 Graduate Management Admissions Council TeamMBA Institutional Award. Dr. Bach has held corporate, entrepreneurial and consulting positions. Her expertise is in leadership and career development, training and team building, change management, organizational culture, communication and service quality.
Dr. Bach has extensive academic administrative leadership experience and has been a professor of both business and hospitality management. Prior to joining the Rollins MBA faculty, Dr. Bach taught in the University of Central Florida’s Hospitality Management Department, where students elected her Professor of the Year.
Dr. Bach has provided consulting services to diverse organizations such as startup entrepreneurial ventures, government agencies and Fortune 500 companies, including organizations such as Darden, NASA, Marriott, Holiday Inns, Embassy Suites, The Peabody Hotel Group, Harris Corporation, GE Harris, AAA, the Orange County (Florida) Jail and the City of Orlando.
Dr. Bach has co-authored a chapter in the forthcoming book MONEY TALKS: Orange County Public Library and Crummer Graduate School of Business Promote Financial Literacy, which will be published in December 2011. The other authors of the chapter are Paolo Melillo and fellow Rollins MBA faculty J. Clay Singleton and Robert Prescott. She has also been published in Lodging Hospitality, FIU Review, Hospitality Research Journal, Hospitality and Tourism Educator, Hotel and Resort Industry, Cornell Quarterly, Health Care Management Review, Best Practices and Benchmarking, and dBusiness.com.
