Robert K. Prescott, SPHR, is an Associate Professor of Management at the Rollins MBA, where he teaches graduate-level courses in both the MBA and Masters of Human Resources (MHR) programs. With decades of teaching and consulting experience in national and international universities and businesses, Dr. Prescott delivers a comprehensive yet applied perspective to Rollins MBA students. His expertise and research focuses on human resource management, performance management, organizational development, organizational behavior, training & development, career management and enterprise consulting.
Prior to his position at Rollins, Dr. Prescott was the director of the Management Development Institute and Adjunct Faculty at Eckerd College — an affiliate of the Center for Creative Leadership in St. Petersburg, Florida. He also spent more than 16 years at BellSouth Corporation (now AT&T), where he held multiple positions in various functional areas.
Dr. Prescott is an Emeritus member of the Board of Directors of The Human Resource Planning Society, the Cornell University ILR Board of Advisors, current member of The Board of Advisors for The College of Continuing Studies at The University of Alabama, and a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. He has co-authored or edited several books, including The Strategic Human Resource Leader: How to Prepare Your Organization for the 6 Key Trends Shaping the Future, HR Transformation: Demonstrating Leadership in the Face of Future Trends, and The Encyclopedia of Human Resource Management, Volume One.
