Jane L. Reimers, Ph.D.

Jane Reimers is a professor of accounting at Rollins College, where she teaches courses on financial accounting, financial statement analysis and accounting for entrepreneurs.
Previously, she was the KPMG Professor of Accounting at Florida State University, where served as both department chair and associate dean for graduate programs. Dr. Reimers was awarded a doctoral fellowship from the American Accounting Association while completing her Ph.D. and took her first faculty position at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.
Dr. Reimer's research in human information processing and decision-making in accounting has appeared in leading academic journals, and she has taught accounting online as part of a project with the Internal Revenue Service. At Florida State University, she won a University Teaching Award. In 2009, she was chosen as the Cornell Distinguished Professor at Crummer. She authored Financial Accounting: A Business Process Approach, by Prentice Hall, currently in its 3rd edition.
