Angus S. Barlow+ ’69MBA Former Partner Ernst & Young |
Angus Barlow’s connection to Rollins College began in 1946 when he joined
the staff as a bookkeeper. He later left to build his own accounting firm, retaining
the College as a client. When he returned to pursue his MBA, Angus took classes
at night while running his company full time during the day. Two years after
his graduation in 1969, Angus merged his accounting firm with Ernst & Young
where he remained as a partner until his retirement in 1975. Angus continued
his involvement with the College, giving his time and talent by serving on tax
committees, mentoring students, and being a financial supporter. In addition
to the remarkable work Angus accomplished as an accountant and business
owner, in 2012 after their passing, he and his wife Mary quietly became the
largest donors to the Crummer School in its history.

Charles W. “Chick” Gregg ’92MBA President & Chief Operating Officer-Retired Greater Homes, Inc. |
Chick Gregg is the past President and Chief Operating Officer of the Greater
Homes, Inc. He began his career as a heavy/highway/bridge
contractor, starting his own construction business at age 27 and selling it
15 years later. In early 1998, he joined Greater Homes, a company of the
Greater Construction Corporation, and was part of the team that purchased
the company from the founders. When they sold Greater Homes to Meritage
Homes the business had gone from building approximately 250 homes
to 600 homes per year.
Chick Gregg earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the
University of Florida in 1972, but his experiences have not been limited to

David H. Lord ’69 ’71MBA Owner and Principal David H. Lord Investments |
David Lord is currently owner and principal of David H. Lord Investments.
However, he spent most of his career in college administration, working at Ithaca
College and Rollins College for six years before serving 19 years as the Business
Manager at Colorado College. After retirement, David helped to start both the
Griffis Group of Companies, a multifamily investment group, and the Innovations
in Aging Collaborative, an initiative to address the growth of older adults. In
addition to being an active advisor to the Griffis Group and sitting on the Board
of Directors for Innovation, David sits on a number of boards in Colorado Springs
including Goodwill Colorado, Silver Key, Peak Vista Community Health Center
Foundation, Colorado Springs Development Authority, and the Cottonwood
Center for the Arts. David also serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees
for Rollins College.
In 2012 David was honored by the National Association of College Auxiliary
Services with an excellence in leadership award for his contribution to the
profession. He received both his bachelor’s degree in public affairs and his MBA
from Rollins College.

Larry F. Tobin ’89MBA ’00HH President/CEO FAIRWINDS Credit Union |
Larry Tobin is the President/CEO of FAIRWINDS Credit Union, the largest
Central Florida based financial institution. Larry began his career at FAIRWINDS
in 1981 as a part-time teller while attending the University of Central Florida and
moved up the ranks to become CEO in 2003. As an active community member,
Larry serves on multiple committees, boards, and councils including the League
of Southeastern Credit Unions, Credit Union Political Action Committee, UCF
Foundation Board of Directors, Orlando Magic Youth Foundation Advisory
Council, Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission, Sanford-Burnham
Benefactor Council, and the Florida Theatrical Association. He is a founding
member of the University Presbyterian Church and is active with the American
Diabetes Association. Larry is also a current member and immediate past
Chair of the Crummer School’s Board of Overseers.
Larry earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from UCF and received both
a bachelor’s degree in music and his MBA from Rollins College.

William H. Bieberbach ’70 ’71MBA President & CEO Miller Bearings, Inc. |
William Bieberbach is President and CEO of Miller Industrial Solutions and also serves as an international consultant to theme parks, recreational projects, and tourist attractions specializing in management, operations, marketing, and finance. Mr. Bieberbach has worked for a wide range of international and domestic companies including Walt Disney World, Madison Square Garden, Taft Broadcasting, Fantasy of Flight, Ron Jon Surf Shops, Parrot Jungle, and AquaFiber Technologies. Prior to the OneBlood merger, he served on the board of directors for Florida’s Blood Centers. Mr. Bieberbach’s peers have recognized him with the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Medallion highlighting his community activity, including serving on the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of Hubbs SeaWorld Research Institute and on the Board of Trustees for Rollins College. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Physics and his MBA from Rollins College.

Gale International
Gale, a third-generation entrepreneur, founded Gale International, a global real estate investment and services firm overseeing a portfolio exceeding 40 million square feet of commercial space. Gale is the recipient of many honors, including Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young and Inc. Magazine. A lifetime sports enthusiast, he maintains an ownership interest in the New York Yankees, the New Jersey Nets and the New Jersey Devils. Gale was inducted into the Rollins College Sports Hall of Fame in 1989 for his participation in soccer and was honored with the Rollins College Alumni Achievement Award in 1997. He was inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame in 2006.

Erin Wallace is executive vice president of Walt Disney World® Operations, and maintains full operating responsibility for all theme parks, resorts, sports and recreation, as well as the operations line of business support for attractions/entertainment, merchandise and food and beverage. In her twenty plus years with the Walt Disney World®, Wallace has served as Vice President of the Magic Kingdom® Park, Vice President of Resorts and General Manager of Theme Park Operations, where she participated in the opening of Disney’s Animal Kingdom®. She was inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame in 2006.

Thomas J. McEvoy is the President-Enterprise Sales at CenturyLink. Prior to this role Mr. McEvoy assumed the position of President-Business Markets for EMBARQ. Before this appointment, Tom was president of Sprint’s Enterprise Markets, responsible for driving all sales and marketing efforts. He was the featured speaker at the Spring 2006 Crummer School commencement ceremony. Tom was inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame in 2006.

Weiss began working at Walt Disney World after graduation from high school for $2.50 an hour. In his more than 30 years with the company, he has held 20 different roles encompassing nearly every part of the business. Today, he leads the world’s No. 1 vacation destination, which employs more than 51,000 cast members. He was inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame in 2002.

F. Duane Ackerman ’64 ’70MCS ’00H

BellSouth Corporation
F. Duane Ackerman is the retired chairman and chief executive officer of the BellSouth Corporation. He served as CEO of this fortune 200 company for 10 years.
Duane began his communications career in 1964, and has served in numerous capacities with BellSouth. In November 1992, he was named president and chief executive officer of BellSouth Telecommunications, BellSouth’s local telephone service unit and largest subsidiary. Duane was promoted to vice chairman and chief operating officer of the parent company, BellSouth Corporation, on January 1, 1995, and was elevated to the position of president and chief executive officer of BellSouth on January 1, 1997. One year later, the board added the chairman’s responsibilities and he served as chairman and chief executive officer until BellSouth’s merger with AT&T on December 29, 2006.
Duane serves on the boards of The Allstate Corporation, United Parcel Service, and The Home Depot, and is chairman of the board of trustees of Rollins College. He is a past chairman of the national Council on Competitiveness, as well as a past chair of the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Council, and has served on the board of governors for the Society of Sloan Fellows of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
A native of Plant City, Florida, Duane holds a bachelor’s degree in physics and a master’s degree in commercial science from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, and a master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology after attending the Sloan Fellows program where he studied a compressed business curriculum for a year with 55 other executives from around the world. He was inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame in 1997.

Ronald Gelbman ’69 ’70MBA

Johnson & Johnson
Gelbman is the former worldwide chairman of the Health Systems & Diagnostics Group of Johnson & Johnson. He retired in 2000 after more than 25 years in the healthcare industry, but continues to serve on a number of corporate boards in that field. A member of the Rollins College Board of Trustees, Gelbman was inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame in 1996.

Barnett Banks of Florida
Voted “most likely to succeed” in a college yearbook, Rice became the youngest director of Barnett Banks, Inc., in 1971, and the next year became president. He was named chairman in 1984 and became chairman of NationsBank upon the merger of Barnett Banks and NationsBank Corporation. He was inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame in 1987.

Charles H. Ross ’67MCS

A native of Minneapolis, Ross joined Merrill Lynch in 1961 as a junior executive trainee. After a number of successful promotions, Ross was named executive vice president and chief administrative officer in 1981, and was named co-chairman of Merrill Lynch Capital Markets the following year. Ross assumed the position as chairman of Merrill Lynch International in 1984. He was induced into the Alumni Hall of Fame in 1987.

Dennis Stults ’76MSM

Scotty’s Inc.
Stults became the president and chief operating officer of Scotty’s Inc., after 25 years with the company. Starting in the warehouse in 1960, he was promoted through various advertising and public relations positions before his election as president and chief operating officer in 1985. He was inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame in 1987.
