About Jonathan

As a kid, I never imagined I would be a librarian, but since becoming one in 1992 I have never regretted it. I love the detective work of helping students, the ever changing complexity of the human-information interface, and organizing resources to enable a great bunch of people to provide exemplary information services for the Rollins community. I earned my PhD from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009 and wrote my dissertation on the role of librarians in the development of copyright law. Here at Rollins I work closely with the Psychology and Graduate Counseling faculty and I teach an RCC called The Revolution Will Not Be Televised. I write about copyright history, open access, and library management. My current publications are available in Rollins Scholarship Online. I am active the Association of College & Research Libraries, where I focus on advocacy and government relations. When I am not in the library I am gardening, running, kayaking, or reading a good book.
