Book Discussion Groups

We at the Olin Library are excited about the thriving book discussion groups around campus. Reading Groups
We are always delighted to host book discussions in Olin, and can help you schedule and advertise your book discussion group.   Generally, if we find out about the book, we try to provide a copy of each book being discussed, either in electronic or print format.
At Olin we purchase single copies of books, but we have some additional ways to support Rollins book discussion groups.  We can purchase certain books as e-books, and some of these allow an unlimited number of people to read them simultaneously.  We can also place a copy of a book on reserve to allow short checkout periods for multiple readers. Also, we can lease multiple print copies of certain newer, popular fiction and nonfiction books.  Of course, these options vary depending on the specific book.
If your group is planning to discuss a book that we don’t have in our library collection, if we can help you choose a book, or if you have any other purchase recommendations, please contact your librarian to let us know.

Goodreads and Pinterest

Olin has a book discussion group on Goodreads.  Group membership is open to everyone, and members can create and participate in discussion threads with each other and Olin faculty and staff.

Follow the library on Pinterest, where we maintain boards for Popular Reading and New E-Books.
