Leadership Ally Program

CLCE is dedicated to empowering students to create change. L.A.P. pairs students with Rollins staff/faculty to give them opportunities for training and a platform to initiate the change they wish to see around them.

Now working alongside its fourteenth cohort, the Leadership Ally Program (LAP) provides students the opportunity to attend one of many transformational experiences designed to build their leadership capacity. These conferences and retreats are all offered free of charge to students, and the largest requirement of the program includes a giveback project to the Rollins campus community. Upon their return from the Summer Leadership Conferences or Fall Emerging Leadership Institute, students are paired with a faculty or staff Ally on campus who will guide them to complete the steps outlined in their Action Plan*.

Faculty and staff, if you would like to be an Ally and be paired with a student, please let us know! We accept Ally applications each semester.

Student leadership experiences include:

Action Plans/Projects from LAP Alumni:

  • Creation of the Emerging Leadership Institute
  • Blood Drive in honor of Pulse Tragedy Victims
  • Fiat Flux Satirical Publication
  • Changes to the Off-Campus Dining Plan
  • The ZEEBag Initiative
  • Safe Zone Training for fraternities/sororities

*Students should realize that the program is a semester-long commitment, and all program components must be completed by the given due dates to avoid being charged for their prior experience.

**The Emerging Leadership Institute is offered to first and second-year students each Fall semester. These students make up their own program cohort and will complete the program in the Spring semester.
