What will I be doing?

Your 17-day adventure with Jesus will include training in urban theology and the Biblical perspective on the inner city. Jesus will change your heart and your mind as you build teams and cultural understanding. He'll speak to you as you spend time in His Word, through large and small group discussions, worship experiences, and real-life ministry.

You will also see the face of the inner city through a two-week internship at an inner city ministry. These are the folks who deal with the daily pain and realities of urban life. They will give you constant opportunities to grow and learn about Jesus' compassion, hope, and love.

The Facts

The project cost is $325 per person. For that low, low price, you will get the finest in training, accommodations, and cuisine. InterVarsity staff and volunteers will lead you in training and teaching that touch the very heart of God. You will be staying at a local church (The Cathedral of St. Luke) in downtown Orlando--where every sleeping bag feels like a feather mattress. Reality Check: The Lord never promised you a world full of faultless, endlessly entertaining teachers, luxurious sleeping arrangements, or plate after plate of mouth-watering food. Wake up! That's Heaven, not inner city Orlando.

Instead his words have always been that he will never leave you or forsake you. He loves you and THAT reality is life changing. You aren't coming for any of those other things so don't worry about them.

You will be exhausted at the end of every day, dirty with no relief in sight... and more in love with Jesus than you ever knew you could be. You will meet God as never before and will go home forever changed.

1. Pray!! Ask God to confirm that this is what He has for you.
2. Take a step of faith. No mission trip is complete without faith. So, register now. Fill out the application and send it in with your nonrefundable $100 deposit. Are you still praying?

4. Check the web site about twice a month. There will be updates about things you need to be doing and reading as we get closer to the plunge.
