About Reaffirmation


Reaffirmation of accreditation requires the completion of a Compliance Certification document, the development of a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), off-site and on-site reviews, and review by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools - Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).


The College's next reaffirmation is in 2015. A draft* of the reaffirmation timeline is as follows:

Academic Year 2011-2012: August 2011 - May 2012

  • Preparation year (Note: Ongoing processes are necessary to fulfill reaffirmation requirements. Rollins strives to meet its commitment to accreditation standards.)
  • Establishment of structure(s) for the process (i.e., early discussions on committees and requirements)
  • April 2012: Fifth-Year follow-up report due (Subject: assessment of academic programs)

Academic Year 2012-2013: August 2012 - May 2013

  • Fall 2012
    • Accreditation Leadership Team (ALT) established
    • Learning Outcomes Group (LOG) established
    • Exploration and discussion of future topics for the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) and likely committee members
  • Spring 2013
    • ALT completes mapping of its work plan
    • QEP Planning Committee established
    • April 2013: Fifth-Year follow-up report due (Subject: assessment of academic programs)
  • Summer 2013
    • Rollins ALT Orientation (formal process with SACSCOC)
    • QEP Planning Committee members attend SACSCOC summer workshops

Academic Year 2013-2014: August 2013 - May 2014

  • Reaffirmation Compliance Report developed
  • April 2014: Fifth-Year follow-up report due  (Subject: assessment of academic programs)
  • Troubleshoot areas of concern

Academic Year 2014-2015: August 2014 - May 2015

  • September 2014: Reaffirmation Complaince Report due
  • November 2014: SACSCOC Off-Site Committee reviews Rollins’ report
  • December 2014: QEP Proposal due
  • January-April 2015: On-Site Review

Academic Year 2015-16: August 2015 - May 2016

  • December 2015: SACSCOC determines Rollins status
