WHAT: The Winter Park Institute Presents “The 21st Century: Opportunities and Challenges in the New Millennium”

Please join the Winter Park Institute for the free symposium, "The 21st Century: Opportunities and Challenges in the New Millennium." The symposium will feature three panels:
1."Politics and the Economy” (9 to 10:30 a.m.)
Panelists: Political & financial journalist/author William Greider, micro-finance specialist Leah Nedderman and finance expert for the Millenial generation Anya Kamenetz
2. "The Human Environment" (11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
Panelists: Eco-density/anti-urban sprawl expert Christopher Leinberger, human health & environment specialist Mark Jerome Walters, and energy/environmental activist Jerome Ringo
3. "The Natural World" (2 to 3:30 p.m.)
Panelists: Marine explorer and documentary filmmaker Jean-Michel Cousteau, animal preservation activist (and ‘76BA) Thane Maynard, and environmentalist and policy maker John Cronin
Wrap-up and a discussion of the day’s sessions will be held from 3:30 to 4 p.m.
