The Hamilton Holt School Scholarship Program was established to provide financial assistance to qualified students who might otherwise be unable to pursue their education. Most awards are based on a combination of past academic achievement (a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average is required for consideration) and demonstrated financial need (eligibility based on the information reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid - FAFSA).

One page essay required of all scholarship applicants.
Please be advised that all applicants for a 2012 spring scholarship award are required to submit a one page essay discussing personal and professional goals, relevant educational and life experiences, challenges and obstacles, leadership and service involvement, and why you think you deserve a Hamilton Holt School scholarship.
The essay should be e-mailed to Sharon Lusk slusk@rollins.edu with the subject heading Scholarship Essay. The top of the essay should include your name, R-number, telephone number, and requested scholarship application term (e.g. Spring/Summer 2012 or Fall/Spring 2012-13).
With the exception of international students, all applicants are reminded that they are required to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) – see #2 below. International students who cannot complete the FAFSA are required to attach a statement of financial costs and needs with their essay submission.
Awards are competitive and based primarily on financial need. Eligibility will be considered only for those students whose admission and/or financial aid applications are complete on or before the published deadlines. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure that his or her admission and/or financial aid application is complete. Award recipients will be notified in writing in December (for Spring/Summer 2012 awards) and May (for Fall/Spring 2012-13 awards).
Most awards are renewable based upon specific criteria including satisfactory academic performance during the award year (3.0 or high term grade point average), completion of at least four full-credit (four semester-hour) courses during the award year, and completion of at least six hours of approved service. Details will be sent to award recipients during the fall and spring terms.
Please contact your Holt School Academic Adviser or Holt School Financial Aid Facilitator Terrie Cole if you have questions or need assistance.
