Rollins College educates students for global citizenship and responsible leadership. The Office of Community Engagement (OCE) fosters, encourages, and promotes student, faculty, and staff involvement within local and global communities. Through service-learning courses, community-based research, leadership development, community service, and innovative immersion programs and resources, OCE is deeply committed to fostering a lifelong commitment to personal and social responsibility in every member of the Rollins Community.

Combining your on-campus classroom experiences with the greatest challenges facing our global community will allow you to become a well-rounded student and professional who is ready, both intellectually and civically, to make a positive impact on humanity. Student success and student-learning are at the center of all OCE initiatives. Our goal is for students to learn, develop and grow through personal and social responsibility by contributing to a larger community. We use the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) LEAP Learning Outcomes and Core Commitments as a framework for developing community engagement experiences.

OCE focuses on three community engagement priorities at Rollins. These include: Engaged Scholarship (supporting curriculum integration of community engagement through research and service), Engaged Campus (connecting students, faculty, and staff to learning opportunities outside the classroom) and Community Partnership Development (working hand-in-hand with community leaders as co-educators committed to global progress and change).
