Rollins Announces New Senior Leadership Office

Rollins College is establishing the Office of Vice President for Planning and Dean of the College.

Modeled after similar senior administrative offices at many highly successful institutions that are explicitly student centered, the Dean of the College will oversee the inclusive range of student services and programs. The Vice President for Planning component of the position will have responsibility for implementing a collaborative, multi-year, integrated process of strategic planning including resource allocation and assessment across the institution. This will ensure that all divisional plans contribute meaningfully to Rollins’ unified institutional vision.

Laurie Joyner, who has been serving as Interim Vice President and Interim Provost, will assume the new position of Vice President and Dean on July 1. In this role, she will continue to co-chair the institutional planning and budget committee with Vice President for Business and Finance Jeffrey Eisenbarth.

“This senior leadership position is dedicated to student engagement and success,” said Rollins President Lewis Duncan. “It will ensure that we remain institutionally focused on providing programs, policies and practices that are student centered and designed to maximize student achievement and continue to improve retention and graduation rates.”
