ISA at the American University of Rome
All students must take one Italian language course and may then choose three-four additional courses from within AUR’s course offerings. With the exception of Italian and other language courses, all courses are taught in English. Courses at AUR are worth one, three or four credits and students should expect to earn between 12 and 17 credits on this program.

Transfer of Credits: Students participating on this program will need to seek the appropriate departmental approval for all major/minor requirements and approval for General Education Requirements through Student Records. All courses on this program appear on the Rollins transcript as transfer credits and the grades are factored into the Rollins GPA. Students who successfully complete this program through Rollins will receive an official transcript from the American University of Rome. It can take up to 3 months to receive the official transcript.
Field Courses: While many of the courses at AUR include activities in Rome as part of assignments and course outings, there are some courses that incorporate field experiences outside Rome. These courses are advertised as such and students must pay an additional charge to cover the trip costs.
Staff and Faculty: ISA has a five person staff on-site in Rome including a Resident Director, an Assistant Resident Director/Housing Coordinator, an Academic Coordinator and two staff members overseeing Student Services. All courses are taught by AUR faculty.
