London Semester ProgramThe London Semester Program offers students the unique opportunity to live, study and intern in one of the world’s most exciting and cosmopolitan capitals for either fall or spring semester. The program, which is offered through CAPA International Education, offers students (3) options: engage in a full courseload, participate in a professional internship + 2-3 courses or engage in a service-learning experience + 2-3 courses throughout the semester.
London is one of the great cities of the world—rich in history, but on the cutting edge of modern business and the arts. You will have the opportunity to experience the excitement and diversity of its many resources and treasures during your semester. Some aspects of life in London you will experience simply by living and learning there; others will depend on your own initiative in exploring this great city which will be your home for four months.
Students take courses at the CAPA London Centre. CAPA offers an array of excellent courses in the humanities, business, and social sciences. Students just taking courses will enroll in four or five courses.
Internships are available in art and design, education, film, finance, government, health care, journalism, law, marketing, museums, radio and social services, and a variety of other fields. Students intern approximately twenty hours a week and take two other courses.
Students who choose the service-learning option will take a service-learning course and participate in approximately fifteen hours a week of active service-learning. Students on this track will also take two other courses.
