Dr. Pedro Bernal

Dr. Bernal is originally from the Dominican Republic and is currently an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL. During the 2000-2001 academic year he used his sabbatical to work full-time on the water project. |

Laveta Stewart

Laveta graduated with her B.A. in Chemistry from Rollins College in May of 2000 and is currently working toward her Master of Public Health at St. Louis University. In the summer of 1999 she traveled to the D.R. with Dr. Bernal and two other Rollins students to begin the work of testing and distributing filters, and participated in the summer of 2000 as well, working with the chemical and microbiological testing. |

Elizabeth Thiele

Liz (a.k.a. E.T.) completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Rollins College in May of 2001. She worked with the water project throughout the summer of 2001, continuing the chemical and microbiological work and distribution in which she participated the previous two summers. |
