Michèle Boulanger is an Assistant Professor in theInternational Business department at Rollins College. Prior to joining Rollins, Dr. Boulanger had a multi-faceted career as an executive global manager(Vice-President of Quality at Motorola), as a consultant (President ofJISC-Statistics), as a researcher (Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Bell Laboratories) and as a teacher (University of Rhode Island, Columbia University). Dr. Boulanger holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Rhode Island and a Masters in Statistics from the Institute of Statistics of the University of Paris, France. She teaches classes in International Business, Operations Management and Quantitative Analysis.
Dr. Boulanger’s responsibilities at Motorola included leading many international improvement teams regarding the global supply chain of a large worldwide telecommunication company as well as its large customer base. She led many projects in Japan (KDDI, HiKE), China (China Unicom, Huawei, Foxconn), India (Hutch Mumbai, Wipro) as well as in Europe and Latin America. Dr. Boulanger has been contributing to the development of international standards in statistics, which are used to optimize performance in operations, for over 20 years. She currently is the United States lead of the American delegation to ISO Technical Committee TC69 - Applications of Statistics. She is a French native and has business partners in France where she regularly teaches and consults.
