Staff Advisory Committee

About us

The Staff Advisory Committee (SAC) is designed to enhance communication between employees and the administration of Rollins College.  Committee members serve in an advisory capacity to the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources and Risk Management by reviewing and making recommendations on selected personnel policies and procedures.  Members also provide input regarding the development of certain types of programs and serve as a source of thoughts, ideas, and opinions from the staff body of the college. Members also collaborate on special projects in small work groups or as a whole commitee on philanthropic projects connected to the Annual Awards Celebration and the Annual Staff Mixer, among other projects that are meaningful to enhancing the staff experience at Rollins.

Membership Selection Process

Each spring term, a call for nominations is sent out to all staff. Nominations are received from across campus to fill the vacant seats within the committee. Later in the spring term, a ballot is sent to the staff, allowing them to vote for their preferred nominees to represent their interests on the committee. Candidates are then selected based upon the voting results, ensuring that the committee has representation from the major sections of the campus. Members typically serve a 3 year term, and are able to represent a cross-section of areas and internests from around the college. See SAC Policies and Procedures below for more information.

How You Can Get Involved

Any staff member with concerns, suggestions or questions about staff life on campus is encouraged to seek out one of the SAC members. A list of current members is linked below . The committee member you speak with will then bring your discussion topic to the next SAC meeting. Committee members then provide updates about SAC proceedings to their respective areas at the college. Rollins staff members are encouraged to utilize the SAC e-mail address to propose discussion topics for the group.
