The Helen A. Ward Crossley Distinguished Service Award for Staff was established in 1999 as a means of recognizing Rollins staff members for their outstanding service and dedication to the College. The award is granted annually to the individual staff member whose contributions to the College over time most consistently demonstrate one or more of the award success criteria, as determined by a selection committee. The award is named for Helen A. Ward Crossley, a staff member who worked at Rollins for 59 years — under five College presidents, and personified this recognition in service, loyalty, and spirit. Now in her ninety's, Helen Crossley still attends the presentation of this award each year at the Annual Awards Celebration.
