The Environmental Studies and Civic Urbanism major analyzes the origins, processes, problems, and possibilities of creating a more sustainable society. The Orlando Metropolitan Region offers an ideal laboratory for these tasks. Nationally recognized projects such as the Wekiva GeoPark and Celebration have placed Central Florida in the forefront of environmental protection and sustainable design. In addition, Rollins lies in the heart of Winter Park, one of America’s signature traditional towns. These opportunities offer students valuable learning experiences with full-time faculty and adjuncts in the environmental, planning, legal, and design professions. |
