Congratulations to Deborah Tatum who assumed her new position at Hamilton Holt School as an Academic Advisor on September 24, after working for 8 years in administration at Holt as executive assistant to the dean. Ms. Tatum earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs from Holt and will be completing her Master of Arts in counseling in December 2012.
As an academic advisor, she will be working with students in the English, organizational behavior, and psychology degree programs, and assisting with student orientation and commencement. In addition, Ms. Tatum will co-teach the Learning Strategies Seminar, which provides students with skills to achieve academic success.
"I am really looking forward to my role as an academic advisor," Tatum said. "With the training I have had in the counseling program, this is the perfect position for me as the next step in my career."
Dean David Richard said, "Debbie has been a valuable asset to me in my role as dean. She is always willing to go the extra mile in all her areas of responsibility, which she handles with diligence and competence. We will miss her in the Dean's office, but wish her the very best in her new role at Holt as academic advisor."
