Instructions for 2008 Ceremony
Instructions for graduates participating in the 2008 Graduation Commencement Ceremony have also been mailed to their home addresses. If you have any questions, please call 407-646-2416.
Participation
If you have not already signed in to order regalia for the 2008 Commencement Ceremony, please email Laura Pfister immediately.
Petition to Graduate
All students are required to complete a Petition to Graduate Form at least two terms prior to completing courses. This form is located inside FoxLink under the Student Records section. Once this form is submitted, records are reviewed by the academic advisors.
Graduation Fees
$25 - Associate of Arts
$60 - Bachelor of Arts
$75 - Master of Counseling, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Education, and Master of Human Resources
$100 - Master of Liberal Studies
Graduation
There are three graduation dates per academic year (August 31, December 31, and the date of commencement in May). All graduates receiving the associate of arts or bachelor of arts degree within an academic year are invited and encouraged to participate in the annual May commencement. Participation in the annual commencement is limited to those students completing all degree requirements as of May.
UNDERGRADUATE
Graduation with Distinction
Students completing the final 70 semester hours of degree requirements in residence (institutional hours) at Rollins College may qualify for graduation with honors, provided that the appropriate cumulative GPA is achieved. Honors are as follows:
3.50 - 3.66 - Cum Laude
3.67 - 3.83 - Magna Cum Laude
3.84 - 4.00 - Summa Cum Laude
A student's transcript will bear the appropriate honors designation, and the designation will be announced at Commencement.
There are no honors designations for the associate of arts degree.
GRADUATE
Graduation with Distinction
Students graduating in programs Master of Arts in Counseling, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Education, Master of Human Resources and achieve a cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.84 will graduate with honors. A student’s transcript will bear this notation, and it will be announced at Commencement.
